SMS Sender ID is the identity through which the message is sent. It is a character name which your outgoing SMS will be sent and it appears at the top of the text message conversations. It is possible that you create your business sender ID after reading the regulations and standards and obligated to them which SMS.CC and its carriers need to comply with.

• There are two types of sender IDs in UAE. However, a client must provide NOCs (No Obligation Certificate) printed on the official company's letterhead along with the authorized signatory and stamp to register any type of them:
  • Transactions : Sending SMS to your known clients, sending greetings / appointments / notifications / reminders.
    • SMS can be sent 24 hours without limitation.
  • Promotions : Sending advertisements, discounts, sales.
    • Promotional sender IDs need to have “AD-“ prefix.
    • SMS can be sent ONLY from 7AM till 9PM UAE time.
    • One of the below words must be added at the end of the SMS:
      • English SMS: OPTOUT5258 / optout5258 / STOP5258 / stop5258
      • Arabic SMS: OPTOUT5258 / optout5258 / STOP5258 / stop5258 / توقف5258 / الغاء5258
• Sender ID must be in English and it can be alphanumeric with a character limit of 11 for transactional type, and for the promotional type, it will be 8 characters & (AD-).
• Special characters allowed in sender ID are only: space, dash, dot, underscore, single quote and ampersand.
• Default, generic, mobile phones and personal sender IDs are prohibited by UAE operators and not allowed to be registered.
• Sending marketing traffic over non-prefix “AD-” sender ID will lead to block it and UAE operators will blacklist the company and client cannot register sender ids in future.
• A client must provide a copy of UAE valid Trade License with minimum expiry date of one month or ruler’s decree document and sender ID must be linked with the Trade License name for companies / institutions or the company's services / products
• Provide documents proof or website link in case no relation between the sender ID and the Trade License.
• Concerning ministry of health, medical centers and governmental sectors, approval copy is mandatory.
• UAE Sender ID validity will be per year and expire by the date in the NOC, and registration’s duration is a minimum 5 working days
• Sender ID fees: 100 AED annually.
